On 11 May, Cryptorefills flipped x402 live across its full retail catalogue: 6,600+ gift card brands, 600 mobile top-up operators, eSIMs, 300 airlines and over 1 million hotel properties, payable by agents in a single round-trip on Base, Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Polygon - plus Bitcoin and Lightning. Adds a second agent-payment rail alongside the MCP server they shipped in October 2025: MCP for discovery and order construction, x402 for settlement. Cryptorefills also open-sourced github.com/Cryptorefills/agentic-commerce, a reference with nine TypeScript-schema playbooks and five runnable examples (two live against production MCP and x402 endpoints) covering catalogue discovery, settlement reconciliation, quote-and-pricing handling and delivery confirmations - Apache 2.0 code, CC0 docs. CEO Massimiliano Silenzi: 'Agentic commerce is happening, and very little about the second part has been written down.' CTO Simonluca Landi: 'A developer can clone the repository and watch the agent-merchant exchange execute against production.' First merchant to ship x402 against a real consumer retail catalogue rather than B2B APIs - the natural counterpart to Warner Bros Discovery's streaming-paywall framing from 7 May. Pushes x402 from data feeds and inference calls into stuff you can actually buy.
AWS launched Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments in preview on 7 May, built natively on x402 with Coinbase and Stripe as co-launch partners. A single API call inside Bedrock AgentCore handles wallet authentication, transaction signing and payment execution, with developers choosing between a Coinbase wallet or Stripe's Privy wallet and funding it via fiat or stablecoin. Settlement runs on Base and Solana in roughly 200ms with sub-cent fees in USDC, and built-in policy controls cover spending limits, compliance checks and full audit trails. Through Coinbase's MCP integration in AgentCore Gateway, agents get instant access to x402-priced APIs from Exa, Messari and Browserbase for search, evals, browser automation and real-time data with no subscriptions or checkout. Coinbase cites 169 million machine-native payments across 590,000 buyers and 100,000 sellers as the volume that justified AWS shipping this. Three days, three hyperscaler-grade launches: Stripe Sessions Link Agent Wallet (29 April), Solana plus Google Cloud Pay.sh (6 May), and now AWS. The agent payments rail is no longer a Coinbase side project - it is the default plumbing across Amazon, Google and Stripe simultaneously.
The Solana Foundation and Google Cloud unveiled Pay.sh on 6 May at Solana Accelerate AI Miami: a gateway-as-a-service that exposes Google Cloud's Gemini, BigQuery, Vertex AI, BigTable and Cloud Run as pay-per-request endpoints for AI agents, settled in stablecoins on Solana via x402 and MPP. The agent's Solana wallet acts as identity, x402 authorizes each call, and Pay.sh proxies the request to Google Cloud with rate limits, quotas and access controls baked in. The discovery catalog also indexes 50+ community API facilitators across e-commerce, market data, communications and on-chain data, instantly turning Pay.sh into a unified agent-callable registry. Funding flows: credit card or stablecoin onramp in 60 seconds, settlement in stablecoin to providers after reconciliation. Supports Gemini, Claude Code, Codex, Openclaw and Hermes as agent interfaces out of the gate. By volume of distribution this is the single biggest moment for x402 since the Linux Foundation handover - Google Cloud's hyperscaler APIs are now natively x402-callable, and the Solana-Coinbase alignment around the standard makes the Triopoly look more like a duopoly with Polygon.
Dexter - the largest x402 facilitator by daily volume - is teasing an unspecified launch at Solana Accelerate AI in Miami today, May 6, via the @dexteraisol project account quote-tweeting @SolanaEvents on the invite-only Lab Miami lineup 'borderline absurd, pound for pound the most talent-dense group of teams pushing at the frontier of Crypto x AI.' Dexter's wording - 'Dexter is showing up with something the x402 world has never seen' - is the loudest tease from the largest x402 facilitator since Dexter flipped Coinbase as top facilitator in January (handling roughly half of daily x402 volume across 19.8M+ transactions and now 25M+ across six chains). DEXTER token is up 130% in the last 24 hours on the anticipation. The actual reveal is expected during the 1-4pm ET programming block today; given Dexter's existing surface area (zero-fee tier, cross-chain bridging, Marketplace, ERC-8004 anchoring), the most likely candidates are an agent-native primitive that no other facilitator currently ships. Watch this space.
Megapot has plugged x402 and MPP into its global internet lottery, letting any AI agent buy a $1 ticket with one HTTP call settled in USDC on Base, with a $1,000,000 prize pool drawn daily. The integration is facilitated by Paysponge, the YC-backed agentic payments infrastructure startup, and Megapot is now listed in the Paysponge catalog ready to plug into any agent that can fire an HTTP request. Notable as one of the first consumer-grade x402 use cases that isn't an API or data feed - and an early stress test of whether agents will use stablecoin micropayments for genuinely entertainment-driven, negative-EV products. Either a fun novelty or the start of a new agent-attention economy depending on your priors.
